On Patreon I publish essays on art, media, social media behavior etc., curated reading lists, photography edu, pop culture commentary, phone wallpapers and much more. thetrudz.photo on Instagram is where I specifically share black & white photographs, some shared here in the Culture III section of my Portfolio and some I have not shared before. These are photographs I made as recently as this year but also as far back as over 20+ years ago.

2019 - current

My 2025 project on Letterboxd is to publish a film review for every film I watch this year, in addition to rating them.

I originally started using Letterboxd during my Cinemacked years (my film/TV indie blog; 2015-2022).

2015 - 2022

Cinemacked was an indie space that engaged the entertainment, aesthetics and sociopolitics of good film and tv. I published film reviews, essays and more. I also did live tweets and media criticism. It was a cool space where I often interacted with very sharp people. Cinemacked is sunsetted after a wonderful 7 years. (Current film thoughts on Letterboxd.)

2012 - 2022

Drift Sojourn was about colour, cuisine and culture. (And, prior to food photography, I also have years of experience in portraiture and event.) I closed my Drift Sojourn space where I published essays, tips and more; I merged creative interests in this space here. Drift Sojourn itself is sunsetted, but photography is my ongoing work and my love, forever.

2012 - 2015

Gradient Lair was an indie space about Black women and art, media, social media, sociopolitics and culture. I published 1000+ original essays and more. Some of the writing I published is referenced in 70+ books and in many dissertations, theses, articles etc. GL was engaged by many people outside of the academe. GL is now permanently sunsetted.
